A player spent 38,000 ARP on Pragmata in an Alienware Arena auction. It’s not a once-in-a-lifetime masterpiece worth that amount. If you had 40,000 ARP, would you spend it on a $60 game or just buy it and keep ARP?
I’d buy the game instantly. 40,000 ARP could get $200–300 of games. 38,000 ARP for one $60 game feels irrational. What would you do?

I agree that the ARP could be spent in a better way, but to each their own and I hope he/she enjoys the game.

40K arp normally would get you 7 to 8 top games, this was a max 5000/6000arp game normally.

I believe the same. However, maybe it was not the about the game itself. It was the fact that he/she wanted to win the auction. I will not judge him, as everyone has their own whims, so long as it does not bother the others.

"40,000 ARP could get $200–300 of games." IF they can get the top vault game when vault opens. The top game is typically gone within seconds. If the person is not buying physical merch or DRP, there is really nowhere to spend ARP

<mention>Ahhhhhh, I need a medic bag</mention> I honestly think this argument is void. There are plenty unclaimed games each month, if users go for niche games. Grab your AAA game if you can, don't count on it. If not, grab an indie like I do

I highly doubt that someone will bid the last available ARPs to get one game. More likely it's someone with tens of thousands ARP.

<mention>Stygiansilence</mention> If a user is not planning to play other vault games, there is no point of claim a game for the sake of claiming it (unless they give those away or trade those, but that would open up another topic)

<mention>Stygiansilence</mention> Using this vault, if a user want a racing game, but could not get Screamer. Unless there are other games, that interest the user, happen to be in the vault, it is better for the user to save ARP for future vault games

I would not spent that much arp on a single game, but honestly, thinking you can get a good game on the vault every month is delusional. I never get one of those, so maybe its not a bad move spending all arp on a good one for once
