Almost all content in The Division 2 will be able to play without other players

If it is to judge by words from Mathias Karlson, game director for The Division 2, the gameplay of the upcoming Ubisoft title should not be primarily tailored for multiplayer, or team play.

In an interview with AusGamer, Karlson praised the variety of playing campaign and stressed that playing solo would not offer any kind of wrong way experience compared to co-op with up to eight players.

"So it's very important for us that you get to pick. There’s no right or wrong way to play The Division. You can play through the entire story campaign into end-game and [then the] end-game [content], alone."

Since in this game will appear for the first time in the series also raids that will allow eight players to play together - in a whole multitude of different multiplayer approaches that adorn this game, it's nice to hear that neither singleplayer has been neglected.

Likewise, Karlson also promises that Ubisoft is working hard to make PvP in The Division 2 a more significant step forward than the original. The concept of the Dark Zone will continue to be retained as a base for PvP, but changes in mechanics themselves should be significant. "If I can say that much, we are going to get you a revamped PVP experience," Karlson said.

Mostly because of security reasons, games cannot easily be cracked when always online and there are other benefit on the side - small transactions.

I appreciate games that continue to offer a single player mode. Heck even in most MMOs I play a majority of the content solo, its just my playstyle. This is good news.
