Launch day of Google Stadia with 12 games

  • 67

Google Stadia starts on Nov. 19. New service will stream high-quality games to both consoles and PCs. Thanks to it, users of the Chrome browser, the latest Pixels and many other equipment will be able to play numerous titles.

On Twitter a list of games available to play on launch day for Stadia has been revealed - here it is:

Google assures that there will be more games - until December 31, 2019, the service will contain 26 games. Here is a list of the next 14 titles to appear:

  • Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle
  • Borderlands 3
  • Darksiders Genesis
  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
  • Farming Simulator 19
  • Final Fantasy 15
  • Football Manager 2020
  • Ghost Recon Breakpoint
  • Grid
  • Metro Exodus
  • NBA 2K20
  • Rage 2
  • Trials Rising
  • Wolfenstein: Youngblood

A small disappointment is also the fact that on the day of release the service will not offer users some of the features promised earlier.

To play using the Stadia service you do not need a powerful PC or console - a Google Chrome device (e.g. telephone or TV) and fairly fast Internet is sufficient.

How it works in practice and whether it will be well received by the community of players? Will see soon...

Breaking news (or if you prefer - update)!

Finally the Stadia should start with extended list of games, including:

  • Attack on Titan: Final Battle 2
  • Farming Simulator 2019
  • Final Fantasy XV
  • Football Manager 2020
  • Grid 2019
  • Metro Exodus
  • NBA 2K20
  • Rage 2
  • Trials Rising
  • Wolfenstein: Youngblood

This is some kind of compensation, because of lack of achivement system, no Family Sharing, no Buddy Pass, no 4K PC support and no Chromecast Ultra support.

The launch day was less than impressive - look at this or this.

Do you still believe Stadia will be a real competition for Steam or existing subscription services?

I wonder how much attention (i.e. subscribers) they will gain.
