Valve have announced a new VR game set in the HL universe, Half-Life: Alyx

Recently Valve have announced a brand new game set in the HL universe, but sadly it's not the long awaited Half-Life 3. Titled Half-Life: Alyx, the game's going to be the first of the 3 VR projects announced by Valve back in 2017, and the first game in the HL series in over a decade. Right now not much is known about the project. 

"We’re excited to unveil Half-Life: Alyx, our flagship VR game, this Thursday at 10am Pacific Time. Can’t wait to share it with all of you!"

Even though it's a new HL game in 12 years, many fans were quite disappointed with this announcement as it'll be a VR only title.

Half-Life: Alyx Announcement Trailer

The game will be set between the events of HL and HL2, and you'll play the titular character Alyx Vance who will be accompanied by her father, Eli. Together they'll face the Combine in the early days of their occupation of Earth.
