Gamestop announces plans to permanently shut 300 stores this year.

Gamestop announced plans to permanently shut 300 of their 5500 stores this year.  Currently all stores in the US are closed to shopping due to the covid-19 shutdown after receiving public backlash for claiming to be essential during the pandemic and trying to stay open.  Some stores are reportedly offering shop on line with curb side pickup.  Gamestop reported a net loss of of $470.9 million last fiscal quarter though saw a slight uptick for march presumably due to the new highly popular Doom and Animal Crossing game releases.

Finally they forced them to close. Gamestop is not essential business. I don't even know how they got away with that crap. When the virus drama is gone you can reopen. It's that simple.
