Valorant: Day 1
Valorant: DAY 1
The widely anticipated game Valorant released today worldwide. With hundreds of thousands of players rushing into games, the servers seem to be holding strong, *cough cough besides the APAC and SEA severs*which were down this morning.
With relatively minor issues arising as launch day comes to an end, Valorant launched successfully and offers exquisite gameplay and functionality for all players.
Unlike many games before, Valorant is a breath of fresh air when it comes to game mechanics. Landing a headshot actually kills your opponent without having to release a barrage of bullets that “hit” but did nothing. Being able to aim, is crucial in Valorant, especially if you are in it to win it.
After playing a few short games of Valorant, I was very pleased with what it offered. Balanced gameplay with a meaningful mechanic.
What games is Valorant like?
If CSGO and overwatch had a baby with a sprinkle of Aplex Legends, Valorant would be that baby.
How many characters are in Valorant?
Unlike its big sister League of Legends, Valorant launched with 8 characters. It is assumed with further patches new agents will be added each with their own unique lore and abilities.
What are Valorant classes?
There are 4 types of classes within the game, and I’ll break them down into a nutshell.
Duelists: Front line attackers. Force combat.
Initiators: Supports team with gathering intel / achieving objectives
Sentinels: Back line / defenders
Controllers: Support/enemy vision sabotage
