I don't see why we couldn't have the choice of these new avatars while also still having our old Avatars. Had I known this change was coming, I would have at least taken a screenshot of my old Avatar because I liked how I set it up.
Why bother giving us choices if within a couple of years you're just going to take them all away.
More options are always better... not fewer.
