You would think Helldivers devs would have learned from the Rocket League backlash. Nobody wants accounts on other platforms to play your game

The backlash is more that there are some countries where people cannot create PSN accounts or access the PSN at all. Those people will lose access to the game that they paid for. The PSN is only available in 69 countries around the world.

Another day, another Sony drama

@SunlessMeridian That's even worse. Game devs who don't care about their player-base are the worst

@Stygiansilence - actually dev*eloper*s(meaning ArrowheadGame) care, it's the publisher (Sony Interactive) who cares more about something else than their buyers/players.

@anonumos Still think developers need to ditch the publisher when they pull these stunts. Might be tough, but Stardew Valley did it. They ditched Chucklefish when they pushed for paid DLC

@Stygiansilence I was refering to the fact that you are confusing developers with publishers. Publishers decide distribution and how it's done; Not possible. Sony owns Helldiver IP;Chucklefish was indie, Sony is not. Different dishes.

In addition to the countries that are left out, PSN is more than another launcher nobody wants, (people buy UBI and EA games after all. PSN means problems with a huge history of security breach issues, nobody wants that in their PCs.
