It's unexpected and already needs more work. The original was fine and only needed some adjustments as it was.

They take up more screen space with this UI but it doesn't give you more information. Pointless and stupid quite frankly.

There's too much contrast it's hurting my eyes. I also hate that they moved the reply counter.
