why did community event conclude on the 25th, if it said it lasted till the 26th. it's still the 26th, and the event is already over. how do i get compensated for the 30 hours my computer was completely tied up downloading a ridiculous 50gb game that can only download at 1 kbps from steam's garbage servers? remind me never to waste my time on community eveny bs!

I didn't do it but if it listed as you state it, "lasting till" the 26th would mean its over the second the 26th started. The rest sounds like you need to talk to your ISP or even Steam to correct your DL speeds.

Your time zone decides the date. They use the furthest time zone so everyone can be a part of it.

They really should write down the exact time it ends on the event page. Anyway, for future reference, it always ends at midnight at GMT. (UTC+0) . The effective end might be 4 hours earlier, though they say they now do a final check wh

Does anyone like downloading these 50+ terabyte games once a week? Games should be a normal size, like small enough to fit on a CD. Why do they all need to be 1000 terabytes now? They must be packing them full of viruses and spyware.

If a game weighs more than 50 high-resolution movies, it should take 50 years to play it, not considering how long it takes to make. And they can't all be that big and complex. Something doesn't add up. I smell a conspiracy.

Well, I wont be downloading any more 10,000 terabyte monsters. If they want to make games that oversized, they can play it by themselves. I'll stick to normal games 1 GB or smaller from now on.
