I thing AWA should utilize its mobile app to prevent bot swarm on game vaults. I dont think it would be possible to setup bot (or whatever automated script they use) in the app. So what if games can be claimed from the app only and not from the browser? The authenticator can also be used I guess to strengthen the security more. Just a wild thought appeared in my mind and thought I would share :P

As someone who doesn't have, nor want, a mobile device to access the app, I'm against that idea. I'd rather they go with linked Steam account auto-activation, even though I don't love that idea either.

No. I cant install that crap app on my old phone while google authenticator still works but wont be used here by lazy devs. A simple image coded captcha would solve the bot, but according to mods there is already recaptcha3, lmao, useless

are you in discord? cartire wrote very long post replying to this and others. everyone claims bots, there aren't any, it's tens of thousands of people compete for "minimum 100" keys. adding more layers doesn't change this fact

I guess it's just a simple supply vs demand issue. Solution = decrease demand (raise the prices) and/or increase supply (get more cheaper keys for older games instead of a handful brand new expensive, add keys for GOG, etc.).

The mobile app right now is just a wrapper around the website. You don't even need the mobile app for 2FA if you know what you're doing. Most botters are lazy but this is all bypassable and the app is far from a magic bullet.
