Use the boost before you go questing to get double the points, not after.

afaik, boosters do not apply to Time on site and Calendar points.
Time on site - you get up to 5 ARP daily no matter what artifact or boosters you use.
Calendar points (both Daily Login and 7-day Streak) - you get extra if you have certain artifacts active, then you can see those right on the calendar. But boosters don't affect any of that either.
AWA daily Quests, Twitch, Steam quests - affected both by corresponding artefacts and by boosters. As was mentioned by post above mine - activate booster before doing those and you will get double points. If you already done them - too late, save your booster for another day.
Most of the time you will see +X points right on your panel (that one that opens on the right side) right when you get them, but sometimes they don't show there. On your ARP log they will show as soon as it updates (sometimes right away, sometimes after a few hours).
Btw, boosters also double those points you get from using Artefacts - or at least some of those. I've got +2 points from Steam quests from +1 artifact while using booster.
