So I have a "first world problem"... I'm trying to join the dark deception community event since yesterday and I can't... Everytime theres an event I have this problem to sync the steam games... Why the website don't have a catalog of the games that the user have or simply just check if the game ID is present on Steam Account!? I have 19818 game licences on my account because I used SteamDB to add the free games. I hope this isn't comparing the IDs one by one!

had the same issue, just like the weekly quest, play the game beforehand, like 10 minutes or so, and THEN sync games

I have same issue. I let the game run for multiple hours. Still can't sync. Very Annoying.

It worked for me following Danteraptor's instructions. The downside is that the event requires 6 hours of gameplay and only the first of the four chapters is free.

Also using Sync multiple times in a short time does not work. After that, Sync will only be abled again after an hour or so.

Also make sure your Steam profile is set to Public and not Friends Only or so.
