Curved basically means that this monitor is VA panel, which naturally has more vibrant color, but slower response time and a narrower viewing angle. Curved panel would compensate narrow viewing angle, and gives a more imersive view in game.

I have an AW3225QD. Love the curve. Once I got used to the curve, I can't go back to flat panel. Feels like it takes more effort to view what's in my peripheral
